PLEASE READ: Just so people know, I have gotten another art account on a different website (many of you can probably guess which one, but please don't say it or link to my account or anything), so don't worry if you see my art there, it's me.
If you do think someone is stealing my stuff, or identity though, it's always okay to note me with a link to the suspicious content.
The reason I'm not going to link to this new account is because I want to keep it private from some people who are less than savoury that have had access to my deviantart account. (No, not you Mom and Dad, don't worry. )
Anyways...
Got bored the other day and sketched up some Tauren subspecies for fun.
Why a bunch of ladies? Our world is very male-centric, to the point where if the sex of an animal is unknown, it's automatically called a male, even though the default is female.
From left to right: Black wildebeest, Bison/Buffalo, Cape Buffalo, Bongo, and average female Tauren.
I decided to leave their arms out so people would be able to see their body-shape.
As someone who loves Femtaur and female Draenei, the first appeals the most to me, but I love them all : D After seeing the Yak-like Tauren people from Pandaria screen shots, I'm betting Blizzard won't bother to make a female version, similar to the Taunka =o=
I think the bison/buffalo one actually looks closest to the female tauren in-game model. Her face is wider and her muzzle is flatter than an actual cow's. Still, they're all adorable. And the wildebeest one looks so regal, like a Greek goddess
I was so disappointed when I noticed that there were no Taunka females, or Tuskarr females. You'd think that Blizz would've learned by now that women exist, even in these minor cultures.
I love it ! Taurens are my guilty pleasure. I especially appreciate the first one. It would be a great concept for more aggressive warrior like female taurens. Or maybe for Grim Totems taurens.
Lazy Blizz, not making any female taunka models... XD
